I have been looking for a place just like this since I moved here in January.  So cozy and welcoming. I came here for coffee, and wifi as I had work to do. I needed to get out of my house desperately. I have now found my new favorite spot.  My vanilla latte was yummy and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.  Thank you Amsterdam Cafe.

This place gets a 0 star. The hookah tastes horrible, I have never been to a hookah lounge with such shitty pack(hookah tastes like coals) and the workers are only attentive to Persian people. If you are not Persian they won't even acknowledge your presences. I will never step a foot into this wanna be lounge again. My first and last time there.

We were waiting for someone to order hookah. After 30 minutes we decided nobody will approach and left the place.

I think this is a fake business.  There's nothing on the shelves, and no food items are in the display cases...  (except for carrot sticks and celery sticks)    We were served, but the cashier seemed surprised to have my friend and I, as waiting customers, next to the "place order here" sign.

    Yeah, no...
This place was a pretty sketchy experience. Read on.

Wednesday @ 5:15pm (they opened up about 15m later than posted)... alright, no big. Moving on.

My buddy and I roll in looking for a spot to pop down some study materials on a patio and enjoy some hookah.
Bingo! This place fit the bill for what we were looking for after checking out a couple of other spots - adequate patio space with somewhat sectioned off areas for more privacy, outlets. Sweet.
We order a couple of teas to start and get to work.

Over time what seems to be a few family friends trickle in and congregate at a table on the patio with who I'm assuming is the owner. No other customers in the meantime.
Come about 1.5 hours into our visit, a dishoveled, sketchy figure rolls back and forth between inside and outside, visually stressed out and asking everyone but us for cigarettes. He vocalizes his irritation with the two gentlemen running the joint and then proceeds to start taking out the trashes. He made a minor scene anytime he was conversing with the folks on the patio, but the main gent running the place kept his attention to his laptop.

The sketchy guy seems to dissappear out of the joint after 10m.

I head up front to order a hookah - Blueberry Muffin.
The gent at the counter didn't quite understand me and went to get the main guy. I had asked a bit about the flavor and didn't really get much of substance back from him, more of a quizzical look as to why I'm asking about the flavor.
Alright fine, we'll do a blueberry muffin hookah, let's check it out.

Well, we never got to check out that blueberry muffin hookah.

15 minutes later, at the point that I noticed that the owner was back on his laptop immersed in a game, and that the other gent was just wandering back and forth from the inside to outside and back, I headed up front and asked to close out on our two teas.
While doing so I heard someone screaming some creative vulgarities out front - upon leaving it looked to be our stressed out buddy from earlier.

Maybe it was just an off day for them, we all have 'em... but don't forget to make the hookah for the only customer that's come in since opening.
